Ingredients

  • ☑️ 12-15 Frozen Dumplings or Wontons (Pork or Chicken)
  • ☑️ 4 cups Chicken Broth (or Vegetable Broth)
  • ☑️ 2 cloves Garlic, smashed and peeled
  • ☑️ 1 slice Fresh Ginger (thick slice)
  • ☑️ 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • ☑️ 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • ☑️ 1 tsp Chili Oil (plus more for topping)
  • ☑️ 2 Green Onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Infuse the Broth: In a medium pot, combine chicken broth, smashed garlic, and ginger. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Remove garlic and ginger.
  2. Cook Dumplings: Increase heat to a rolling boil. Add frozen dumplings. Cook for 3-5 minutes until they float and wrappers are tender.
  3. Season: Turn off heat. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil.
  4. Serve: Ladle into bowls. Top generously with chili oil and green onions. Serve hot.
